SINGING JOURNALIST PRIZE 2006 TILL GREGORY ISAACS
Gregory Anthony Isaacs ranks as one the true superastars of reggae music was honoured with Singing Journalist Prize in Stockholm Tuesday November 7th 2006 by legendary reggae promoter Tim Badejo in conjuction with Maestro 25-Years anniversary held at the newly opened fashionable concert venue Debaser Medis.

Every year, the Prize will go to an artist who through socially conscious lyrics in the furtherance and reporting of world peace.
When the prize was first inagurated 2005 it was received by the late Joseph Hill of Culture
Motivation:
This special honour to Mr. Gregory Anthony Isaacs, a cultural musical icon that has raised the flag of indigenous Jamaican music across the world with socially - conscious lyrics that are melodious, spreading his message of affection (love not war), with his sharp and sensitive voice delivering sweet love songs and the ability to weave unforgettable songs from everyday life to his listners through his music made him obvious candidate for 2006 Singing Journalist Award
